TWO WEEKS NOTICE
Who would’ve thought two weeks could make a difference in one’s life?
I didn’t. Or okay, maybe I did but not really a life-changing one. But as usual, Jesus did.
So, disclaimer: sorry if this sounds so churchy and cliche. Haha.
It’s amazing how imperfect people can still be used by such a perfect God. I think He purposely reveals to us our inadequacies to also show how He equips those He calls.
I thought missionaries were people who had halos above their heads. Those who would recite Bible verses every other sentence when they’d talk. Well maybe some actually do, but in reality, they are just like you and me - ordinary people.
Some find it hard adjusting to the culture, especially if the restrooms aren’t the best-looking ones. Others have tummy aches when they eat food with curry. And then there are those who hate walking and climbing mountains. Surprise, surprise: I fit in all three categories.
I asked God why He let me join the Nepal Mission Trip this year.
With everything that has happened before, during and after the trip, God finally answered.
His answer : Yes, you are ordinary. So ordinary, in fact, that you would need an extraordinary God to use you. That’s ME. So let ME work, and I will show you my glory.
Two weeks. And the mission has just kicked-off :)
