God’s Will

I’ve read and I’ve always believed that being at the center of God’s will is unsafe. Being there means obeying and trusting. It’s like you’re at the eye of the storm. You choose to step out of that comfortable boat. To walk on water, with Jesus holding your hand.

Obedience is hard. One of the,if not THE most difficult thing to do. You choose to do it, even if you do not want to. You choose to trust.

Philippians 1: 15-18

15It is true that some preach Christ out of envy and rivalry, but others out of goodwill. 16The latter do so in love, knowing that I am put here for the defense of the gospel. 17The former preach Christ out of selfish ambition, not sincerely, supposing that they can stir up trouble for me while I am in chains.18But what does it matter? The important thing is that in every way, whether from false motives or true, Christ is preached. And because of this I rejoice.

A Time for Everything

a time to scatter stones and a time to gather them,
a time to embrace and a time to refrain,

a time to search and a time to give up,
a time to keep and a time to throw away,

a time to tear and a time to mend,
a time to be silent and a time to speak,

Sticks and Stones

Lola (my granny) just got out of the hospital. Thank You, Lord :)

I’ve been away from the virtual world for only a few days, but it seems like months. HAHA. Good to be back; I had maybe a hundred of emails and…it’s all from facebook. One from Mom, and a few from friends.

The past days, I’ve been realizing a lot of things. About God, myself, relationships and life.

First: GOD IS SO AMAZING, He is the best teacher ever. And I remembered how stubborn little kids are. When you teach them something new, you have to reinforce it.

Sometimes, you give in to their tantrums. Other times, you give lots of rewards. Later on, you take away the rewards and what’s left is the child. Either he/she follows through or gets hurt; what’s important is he/she learns the lesson that the motivation for learning (doing things, understanding and seeking a more difficult task/lesson) becomes intrinsic :)

Second: People are imperfect and it takes a perfect God to love them. I am imperfect, I disappoint others as well. How do we respond to these imperfections? Love. Love like Jesus. He loves all parts of our being- good, bad, ugly, imperfect, emotional- just because. A coward would walk away, but Jesus never walked away. He just walks with us.

Third: Some people are meant to leave us, and it’s not their fault. Others stay for a long period of time. And still others, teach us great lessons in life.

Last: Who am I to question God, about why He created me this way? :)

I think I am starting to see bits and pieces of it. The break from everything was good.
